Nobody in the industry has more experience with Reclaimed Flooring nor a more efficient milling system. We mill all our own Reclaimed Wood Products thereby controlling the quality and costs. Because of this, our pricing is among the best in the industry. You won't find a better product or a more reliable supply source anywhere - period!
We make our Reclaimed Wood Floors from raw material sourced all over the country from Old Whiskey Storage facilities to New York apartment buildings to dairy farms in Washington and bridges in Texas... you name it and we've probably got it.
The majority of the Reclaimed Wood Flooring you buy from us comes from structures that were erected between the 1850's through about the 1940's. At the beginning of WWII, there was a major change in the lumber industry... in order to meet the demands of the war, 2 x 4's were turned into 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" and younger, weaker trees were used. That practice never changed back after the war and this is what you buy from a typical lumber yard today.
Many of the buildings we get our material from have been standing vacant for years or have outlived their usefulness. Buildings from this pre-WWII era were built with OLD GROWTH TIMBER, which means the trees used for the lumber may have been 300-500 years old. These trees cannot be cut down today but, at that time, there seemed to be an abundant supply.
